State Election Board deadlines
February 27, 2015: Last day to File intent to form a new party in order to have a full 12 months to gather signatures.
November 1-30, 2015: The dates qualified parties can submit intent to the State Election Board that registered Independents can vote in their primary elections.
December 1-15, 2015: A deadline extension for intent to allow Independents to vote in the primaries of qualified parties if only one qualified party submits intent in the previous period.
March 1, 2016: Last day to form a new political party.
July 15, 2016: Deadline for petitions to get an Independent Presidential Candidate or Presidential Candidate for an Unrecognized Party on the ballot.
